Term Project Requirements

Build your own interactive WebXR space.

What is required of you depends on how many of you there are. Start by walking the example space below, then read the requirements for your team size.

This lab's virtual space is built on the same template you get.

Open it, walk it, and read it as a design rather than as a demo. Most of what the requirements ask for is visible somewhere in it, so going and finding each one is the fastest way to see what is being asked. It is an example, not a model answer — yours does not have to look like it.

The entrance of the virtual lab
ENTRYOne clear place to arrive, and a sightline to everything else.
An information wing of the virtual lab
SPATIAL UIInformation lives on the wall at reading height, not on a flat overlay.
The guide agent and the dog agent
SIGNATUREHere, an agent notices you and walks over. Yours need not be an agent — it needs to be one thing, done properly.
Building the WebXR infrastructure from scratch is not the goal of this project, The rig, navigation, grabbing, panels and the web build are already done, and rebuilding them earns no extra marks. Your work is the space, the interactions and the experience — writing your own scripts for those is expected.

The numbers are minimums, not targets.

Choosing a size. A pair is the default. If you want to work alone or as a three, ask me first — briefly, in person or by e-mail.
Solo 1인

Build smaller than you think you should

You are marked on depth, not breadth. One room where every object answers scores above a larger space that is half furnished.

Pair 2인

Do not split design from programming

Both of you will be asked about both. Split by area instead — one takes navigation and layout, one takes interaction and feedback — and review each other's work.

Trio 3인

One page on the transition between zones

Why does a visitor move on to the next zone, and what carries over when they do? The extra scope is judged on this, not on extra furniture.
